For those with very good memories Rod Stewart was number 1 in the singles chart with “Maggie May”, when Martyn White started work with Cheltenham Surfacing. After some 43 years Martyn, known to many as “Chalky” has retired. “Chalky” was one of Cheltenham Surfacing’s longest serving employees and is looking forward to amongst other things having the opportunity to spend more time with his new grandson.

They don’t come much more experienced than Chalky and 43 years’ unbroken service is quite something in anybody’s book.
